Our epic journey began with a short drive from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. We then hopped on a plane from Shenzhen to Xi’an City, where we caught another plane to JIAYUGUAN. This was our first location, so immediately we scouted out the area, and quickly became acquainted with our our new client, VASTO, and the extremely helpful local production team, all of whom would extend great friendship, wisdom, and riotous bouts of laughter. The next day we drove another five hours into DUNHUANG to prepare for our shoot in the desert.
This album attempts to share a glimpse of what we encountered along the way. We feel very fortunate to have encountered such great people and places and look forward to our next adventure.
